Dziady - Part II

On Friday 24.11.2006, the new production of “Dziady - Part II” premiered at ARKA Theatre [see our previous post]. “Dziady” (”Forefathers’ Eve”) is a poetic drama written by Adam Mickiewicz and speaks of the “spirits” of the forefathers. In interview, the director Renata Jasińska talks about these “spirits” and also about this new production.
“Dziady - Part II” will be performed on 30.11.2006 (Thu), 01-03.12.2006 (Fri-Sun) and 08-10.12.2006 (Fri-Sun) at 19:00. Arka Theatre is located at the end of the passage at ul. Świdnicka 28.

Steamboat Switzerland

gig antOn Wednesday, 15.11.2006, Steamboat Switzerland played at RURA Jazz Club as part of the Rura Jazz Festival (07.11-03.12.2006). The music of Steamboat Switzerland is avant-garde and full of improvization and playfulness. In our interview, Marino Pliakas speaks about the band and its music, and also the impression of the concert at Rura.

CCP Finale moved to Sunday

Because of the national mourning, the last concert of “Creative Commons Party” is moved to Sunday (26.11.2006). Other details remain the same: the concert starts at 19:00 at FUZON (pl. Teatralny 1) and Carizma and KredenZ will play. Admission free.
The national mounring will last till Saturday midnight (25.11.2006), and it may also affect other events.
