An international comparative literature conference organized with the support of the University of Wroclaw and the U.S.-Polish Fulbright Commission.
Literary terms such as “magical realism” and “socialist realism” problematize the concept of the real as it is portrayed in novels, short stories, plays, and poems, particularly in cross-cultural studies. Virtual reality and surrounding philosophies grow in importance in the information age. Tabla Experiment

On 02.05.2006, at Droga do mekki, Niti Ranjan Biswas & Nemanja Rebic played “experimental” Indian tabla + Jazz guitar tunes. It is not everyday that we see tabla performance in Wrocław. Niti is first time in this city, but Rebic is becoming somewhat a regular visitor: we saw Rebic already in the last Summer’s Neanderthal Alien and the last X-mas’s Verstärker both at the pub “Niebo.” We have here a video footage from the concert, along with the interview with the 2 musicians about the idea of this “experiment.” Read the rest of this entry »

01.05.2006, Salonik - at this small pub, a concert of 3 bands from France took place: L’Homme Puma (http://www.lhommepuma.com/), Sugartown Cabaret, and The Eye Of Time. We interviewed L’Homme Puma after the concert and asked what “kind” of music - often described as “emo” or “emo core” - that they play.
