VI International Workshops of Traditional Songs of Middle-Eastern Europe in Lower Silesia
in two terms:
I : 18-25 July 2006
II : 29 July - 5 August 2006

Place: village Gaworzyce, Lower Silesia, near Polkowice/Glogow (see here)
Workshops are for all people who like singing. No previous experience is necessary; there will be also groups for advanced singers.
This is the series of workshops on the techniques of archaic/ethnic singing from various slavonic cultures. Workshops will be led by famous specialist of archaic singing - precursors of authentic music (the movement of reconstruction of archaic music in countries ex-Soviet Union in 70’s) such as Drevo or people connected with ensemble Kazachyj Krug.
The workshops will be also a place of meeting and exchanging the experiences between people from Poland and abroad, brought together by their desire to work with voice.
In programme:
 * work with voice and techniques of ethnic singing
 * learning polipohonical songs from slavonic traditions
 * workshops of traditional handcraft (cutting, paper-flowers, weaving, crochet)
 * meetings and workshops with local folk artists (from Carpathian Mountains, living now in Lower Silesia)
 * discussions
 * films and presentations
 * traditional dances
 * concerts

 * Witold Kozłowski from Poland - OVO - workshops for mixed group of Bulgarian songs (I) and for women workshops of Polish songs (II)
