21.03.2011 at ORATORIUM MARIANUM (pl. Uniwersytecki 1) - This is a fragment of the concert of opera arias by Nikolay Dorozhkin, the distinguished Russian tenor with the WrocÅ‚aw Opera, accompanied by the pianist Olga Rusina. The concert was performed at the opening of the “Journées de la Francophonie” festival. The aria featured in this video is “La fleur que tu m’avais jetée” from the opera “Carmen.”

Journées de la Francophonie 2011

At the occasion of the international day of “Francophonie” (20.03), Alliance Française in WrocÅ‚aw organizes the “Journées de la Francophonie” festival. As the title indicates, the guiding theme of the festival is French language and the culture of French-speaking people beyond national boundaries. O/R is a new multimedia performance project from Todd Carter and Raymond Salvatore Harmon (US) (previously seen in Wrocław with Exploding Star Orchestra from Chicago: here). The performance will be accompanied by the concert by G. Lebik/A.Majewski/K.Suchar, a trio from Wrocław.

“Eklektik Session” was created in 2005, with an aim to provide a unique platform of interaction between musicians and artists of various genres & backgrounds. Even today “Eklektik Session” is one of the kind in the WrocÅ‚aw music scene, and it offers a dynamic live electronic / dub / dubstep jam session.

Fat Burning Step (www.fatburningstep.com) leads the session, with the participation of the special guests: Jahga (vocals), Michał Malicki (vocals), Jan Krzeszowiec (flute), Olga Kończak (cello), Tomek Kasiukiewicz (trombone), Jarek Długosz (audio mix) & Spaso (turntables).
